Do You Hate Your Job?

So the boss thinks you can be in three spots doing all sorts of different tasks in the same time, asks obvious questions such as “How could you forget the reports?” Unaware that your life does not revolve around his reports, the boss only showers you with more tasks to finish over the weekend.
You might be fuming when a colleague dumps his boring workload on your lap before going on a vacation in Hawaii. You might be hearing of the “Open, Creative Office” policy in your meetings, yet fail to recognize the googlesque lifestyle your company preaches when you try to put your feet up your desk, only to knock everything over. Maybe its because you live in a cubicle no bigger than a decent airport’s bathroom stall, drink cheap coffee that tastes like medical alcohol, and become broke as of the next week of payday.
Does this sound familiar?
What can you do in this case? Quit your job and apply to google? Plan a conspiracy to kidnap your boss and ask for ransom? Well, not exactly, but most people will be thinking along the lines of changing occupations or quitting their job. How about we start with the basics, ask yourself those four simple questions (if applicable):
- What makes you hate your job so much?
- Why do you hate your boss, what makes him the obnoxious creature that he/she is?
- Why do you wish you could strangle some fellow “colleagues” in the office?
- Are you getting the pay you deserve?
- Feel free to leave a comment and share your answers.
Take a few minutes to assess your current status and make your choice.
